This Real deal 1968 Pontiac GTO is powered by a great running YD code 400 CI bored 30 over with .485 lift cam and backed up by a turbo 400 automatic transmission with shift kit and a 2200 stall. It has just had a mechanical restoration along with an amateur restoration on the body and paint. The body and paint looks good as 20 footer but up close you can tell that the car needs a wet sand and buff to get rid of orange peel. This is a list of things that the previous owner has stated that he had replaced: new drive shaft, u joints, and original rear end with 3.36 Possi with new axel and bearing seals, and pinion. Also replaced was the complete brake system with all new lines, master cylinder, and booster. Headers with new exhaust pipes, mufflers, and tail pipes were installed. The dash was recovered, new carpet, new front seat, and back seat covers were replaced. The header liner is ok but door panels show quite a bit of wear at the bottom and should be replaced. This Real Deal GTO runs and drives nice down the road with a great sounding motor and exhaust. It is equipped with power brakes, JVC CD player, tinted glass, new rear bumper and is riding on a set of PMD rally rims.
